Hillary Clinton Enables Rapists

I'm sure that just about the whole country knows this by now, but former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has announced that she is running for president in 2016.  And she spared no expense in her entry with her declaration video, now on youtube and other places.  She has made it no secret that she's not just running for president, but for the title of "first woman president" and bills a vote for her as being a "vote for women".  This ties in conveniently for her into her party's claim of fighting in a "war on women", another soundbite of intellectual dishonesty.

In 1975, Clinton wasn't exactly on the side of women.  In fact, she defended a man who raped a 12 year-old girl in court.  It's pretty obvious that she new he was guilty, as she has been quoted as laughing when he passed a polygraph test and she said that she had lost all faith in them in response.  She did not merely defend her client, though, but she also slandered the victim of the rape and attempted to get the court to blame the victim for the rape, rather than the rapist.  Clinton was not standing up for individual responsibility for the perpetrator, but for giving understanding and leniency to rapists, at the expense of the victims.  The victim, who remains anonymous, later spoke out about the experience of the trial.  "Hillary Clinton took me through Hell."  That says it all.

Furthermore, Hillary Clinton is a strong proponent of strict gun laws, and constraining the inalienable Second Amendment rights of all Americans, which includes women.  Most rapists are out to physically dominate their victims, not just force sexual gratification from them.  If the perpetrator is larger and stronger, one of the best defenses for a woman is carrying a gun, whether concealed carry or open carry while in public, or even stored within the home if the perpetrator breaks in.  In fact, a gun increases a woman's chance of escaping a violent crime unharmed by 250%.  Alas, restrictive provisions on concealed carry laws do not allow "self defense" as a good enough reason for obtaining a permit.  Former Senator from New York, Clinton said she favors what "works in New York", a state which requires one to go to great lengths to prove a need for protection before being able to use that as a reason for a permit.  Is this what we expect from a so-called champion of women's welfare, let alone a possible first woman president?

Election day is a long way away, and that's an understatement.  But I can say for certain that on that day I will be saying no to rape, and no to Hillary Clinton.
Will you be voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016?
